Census Begins Geography Data Release

The Census Bureau has announced the release of 2010 geography files for the upcoming redistricting. These states are:

• • Louisiana

  • Mississippi

  • New Jersey

  • Virginia

These data files do not have 2010 population data associated with them. The release for those data is scheduled to begin in early to mid February, 2011 and must be completed by April 1, 2010. That data release will likely follow a similar pattern as the release of the geography files. Expect these four states' population data to be released first.
