Joyce Foundation Awards $50K to Public Mapping Project

The Joyce Foundation has awarded the Public Mapping Project $50,000 to continue development of the District Builder web-based redistricting tool designed to encourage greater public participation and transparency in the redistricting process.

This support comes bitter-sweet in that we fondly remember the support of Larry Hansen at the Joyce Foundation. Larry recently passed away. Among his many accomplishments, Larry was a visionary leader supporting redistricting reform, campaign finance reform, and the building of a strong Midwest grassroots organization known as the Midwest Democracy Network. The always-affable Larry will be dearly missed.
